Performance These options let you control the performance of thumbnail generation. * Override thumbnail threads: Turn this on to override the number of background threads Opus uses to generate thumbnails. As thumbnail generation is mostly a CPU intensive task (decoding JPEG images, for example), increasing the number of threads can greatly speed up the generation of thumbnails, although you may see diminishing returns as shared resources like storage become the bottleneck.

Evaluator Functions The evaluator is a simple parsing engine that understands basic mathematical operations, boolean logic and provides a number of functions to perform number, string and date manipulations and to query information. Because it is much simpler than a full scripting language like JScript, it can be used in a number of places in Directory Opus to provide customisability where full scripting would be too slow.
