This page lets you configure an HTTP proxy that Opus will use when it needs to access the Internet. This will be used for things like the [[updates|update checker]] and [[:additional_functionality:flickr_synchronization|Flickr]] photo sharing. This page doesn't control the proxy for FTP access - that is configured through the [[:ftp:ftp_address_book|FTP Address Book]].

If **Use a proxy server for HTTP access** is turned on, the options are:

  * **Proxy type**: Sets the type of proxy - HTTP, SOCKS/4 and SOCKS/5 proxies are supported. 
  * **Server**: The IP address or domain name of the proxy server. 
  * **Port**: The proxy server port. 
  * **Authentication**: Set this if the proxy requires authentication, and enter the username and password below.
