The **Display** tab in the //Folder Format// dialog contains general options that affect the appearance of the file list.

  * **View mode**: Choose the view mode (details, thumbnails, etc.)
  * **List mode column width**: Specify the column width for list mode. If //Auto// is chosen, the width of the details mode //Name// column is used.
  * **Checkbox mode**: Turn [[:basic_concepts:selecting_files:selecting_with_the_mouse_and_keyboard:checkbox_mode|checkbox mode]] on automatically.
  * **Thumbnail size**: Override the default thumbnail size in this folder.
  * **Thumbnail resizing**: Override the default thumbnail resizing options.
  * **Font**: Specify a custom font used in this folder.
